The 14th Annual 757 Battle of the Beers took place Saturday, September 12, on the grounds of the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach. The event, which is produced by Beach Ambassadors, featured almost forty Hampton Roads’ breweries who competed on behalf of their selected charity.
Beach Ambassadors’ President, Shawn Fischer says, “This event started in a parking lot with 5 local brewers. We might have raised about $3,000 for local charities. We didn’t really expect the surge of craft breweries and their desire to support the community. Fast forward 14 years, we attract a few thousand craft beer enthusiasts, featuring over 40 brewers. We have raised over $400,000 since the event’s inception and given back to approximately sixty unique non-profit organizations.”
