According to a report from the Virginia Craft Brewers Guild, a latest round of data suggests there is reason to be optimistic for independent craft brewers in the Commonwealth.
“Consumers are still choosing craft beer, still visiting breweries, and still supporting the brands they connect with. For Virginia brewers, that's a testament to the passion, creativity, and sense of community that continue to make our industry's impact far greater than what's captured in the numbers alone,” the report concluded.

— 344 craft breweries are now operating in Virginia
— 342,075 barrels of beer produced annually
— $1.4 billion in annual economic impact
— 85% of craft beer consumers drink beer on a monthly basis; a 10% increase
— 58% of consumers who visit a taproom purchase a brewery’s products; a 7% increase
