Winchester, VA – Winchester Brew Works will be launching their Kickstarter fundraising campaign on August 31, 2015 with a goal of $8500 for completion of the brewery taproom. Campaign will end on October 2 at 9:00PM.
Winchester Brew Works has already leased a property at 320 North Cameron St. and purchased a 3 barrel brewing system. If fundraising campaign is successful, funds will go to construction of additional bathrooms, an indoor pergola, long beer-hall style tables and a new door to exit directly to parking lot and patio. Kickstarter rewards will provide access to several limited edition and custom items including a hand-screenprinted t-shirt, custom growler crafted in Richmond, VA, limited edition can-style pint glass and tickets to a catered soft opening dinner at the brewery.
Winchester Brew Works, LLC was originated in June 2014 by four friends who have been homebrewing for several years. The brewery will be majority-owned, operated and brewed by two women – Holly Redding and Bonnie Landy. Their husbands Arthur Redding and Jeff Landy are minority owners and will be playing a supporting role in the brewery. The brewery is expected to open in late Fall.
Kickstarter is a crowdsourcing fundraising platform for creative projects. The fundraising is all-or-nothing meaning that if the goal of $8500 is not met, then the brewery will not receive any of the funding, supporters will not receive the rewards, and no supporters will be charged for their contributions.
Winchester Brew Works looks forward to integrating with the Old Town Winchester community and providing patrons with quality craft beer and a relaxed atmosphere offering a variety of activities for all ages.
